Cookie Policy

    Last updated: 27 February 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Remaq Supply Chain (trading as EssentialsHubNL, Netherlands) uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Read this policy alongside our Privacy Policy.

    1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help the site remember information about your visit — for example, keeping you logged in or understanding how you use the site. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only activated if you give your consent.

    2. Cookie Categories We Use

    Strictly Necessary

These cookies are required for the site to function. They enable core features such as secure login and CSRF protection. They cannot be disabled because the site would not work without them. No consent is required to set these cookies under the ePrivacy Directive.

    Analytics

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — for example, which pages are visited most and whether visitors arrive via search engines or direct links. The data is aggregated and anonymous; we do not sell it or use it to identify you personally. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept all cookies" in the consent banner.

    Marketing

Marketing cookies would be used to show you relevant advertisements on other websites. We do not currently use any marketing or advertising cookies. This category is listed for transparency. If we add marketing cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent again.

    3. Full Cookie Table

The table below lists every cookie set on this site, its purpose, how long it lasts, and which category it belongs to.

    4. Data Retention Periods

Cookie data is retained for the duration shown in the table above. Where analytics data is processed server-side or by a third party (e.g. Google Analytics), retention periods are governed by the third party's data retention settings:

    • Google Analytics: data retention is set to 14 months by default and can be configured in the GA4 property settings.
    • Vercel Analytics: aggregated, cookieless data; no personal data is stored by Vercel beyond 90 days.
    • Consent preference (cookie_consent): stored locally on your device for up to 12 months, after which you will be asked again.

[Placeholder: if additional data processors are added in the future, their retention periods will be documented here.]

    5. Legal Basis for Processing

    • Strictly Necessary cookies — processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website and, where applicable, to fulfil our contractual obligations to you. No consent is required (Recital 47 GDPR; ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3)).
    • Analytics cookies — processed on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time.
    • Marketing cookies — none currently active. If introduced, they will be based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

    6. Your Rights Under GDPR (Art. 15–20)

As a data subject you have the following rights:

    • Right of access (Art. 15) — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
    • Right to rectification (Art. 16) — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
    • Right to erasure (Art. 17) — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
    • Right to restriction (Art. 18) — ask us to limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
    • Right to data portability (Art. 20) — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and transfer it to another controller.
    • Right to withdraw consent at any time — for analytics cookies, click in the footer or in the cookie banner. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

    7. How to Contact Your Supervisory Authority

If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. You do not need to contact us first, but we encourage you to reach out so we can resolve the issue directly.

    • Netherlands (EU — our lead supervisory authority): Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP) autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl
    • United Kingdom: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) ico.org.uk
    • Other EU member states: contact the DPA in the country where you live or work. A full list is available at edpb.europa.eu.

    8. How to Manage or Disable Cookies

You have several ways to control cookies:

    • Our consent banner: click in the footer at any time to review or change your choice.
    • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the site from working correctly. See your browser's help centre for instructions.
    • Google Analytics opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

    9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new technologies or cookies. Material changes will be communicated via the consent banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
